In Blender, we use “Control + Z” to undo our last step. If we continue to press this shortcut, the next previous thing we did will be undone. Each of these is called an “Undo Step” and there’s a limit on how far back we can undo. Eventually pressing “Control + Z” won’t do anything.
But we can change our Undo Step Limit to give us more do-overs in Blender.
In the Edit Menu, go to Preferences. In the System Tab, there is a section labeled “Memory and Limits.” Here, we find our “Undo Steps” limit.

I believe it’s set to 32 by default.
We can increase the Undo Steps limit to give us additional steps we can go back to undo. However, this increases memory usage by Blender.
We will need to save our preferences and restart Blender for the new Undo Step limit to take effect.
If you’re looking for a way to reduce how much memory Blender uses, you can decrease the number of Undo Steps.
I hope this helped. Follow Brandon 3D on YouTube for tutorials and Blender tips!
